Zoe Kravitz, who is set to play Catwoman in Matt Reeves’ The Batman, says she is eager to use Robert Pattinson since the celebrity perfectly suits the DC superhero’s part.
Robert Pattison was announced as the new Batman this past year, and his casting was a subject of debate among fans. Kravitz said she is happy to have the British celebrity on board as her “partner in crime.”
“I’ve never worked before, but we have been together for the last few weeks. I had to camera evaluation together with him, and we have been training and rehearsing, and he is just a beautiful man and an excellent, thoughtful performer.
Kravitz said in an interview, “I think he is fantastic for the character, and it is likely to be this adventure. I’m eager to have him as my partner in crime and to be there to support each other as it’s extreme. It’s likely to be a very long shoot, and there’s a lot of pressure, and I understand he has my back, and I have him,”
Pattinson’s look as Batman was disclosed as Reeves shared the first camera test of the actor.
The celebrity is shooting on a part that was previously played with the likes of Michael Keaton, George Clooney, Christian Bale, and Ben Affleck, among others.
Joining him will be Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon, Paul Dano as The Riddler, Colin Farrell as both Penguin and Peter Sarsgaard in a mystery role.
The Batman is scheduled to be published on June 21, 2021.
