Three men had been killed and nine others were injured on the collections of a Kamal Haasan movie following a crane on broke apart and crashed into the ground. All three were assistant directors of the movie, Indian two, being taken EVP Film City near Chennai.
The three killed were assistant director Krishna, artwork assistant Chandran, and Madhu, a production assistant, production house Lyca said in a statement.
“The guys were inside the box-like arrangement in addition to the crane as it crashed. It seems that they worked on light to the shoot. The incident happened at 9:30 pm Wednesday,” a police officer told NDTV.
Director Shankar is creating the sequel to the 1996 movie, Indian. Police sources said it is not known whether Shankar was on the website once the crane came crashing down.
“Kamal Haasan was another place inside the complicated once the incident happened,” said a source who asked not to be identified.
“The accident remains unkind. I dropped three colleagues. The despair of the families would be astounding. I share their sorrow. My deep condolences to them,” Kamal Haasan said.
Indian two, an action thriller, is being viewed as Kamal Haasan’s movie that dabbles in politics. The Tamilnadu assembly election is due next year.
