The Boys will be back in town just before Labor Day.
During reunion hosted by Patton Oswalt, showrunner Eric Kripke and the cast revealed the series would go back into Amazon Prime on Friday, September 4. The release date announcement came alongside the episode, which provided the extended glimpse of Season 2’s first three minutes.
The Boys surfaced its whole first season last year on July 26, with all eight episodes hitting on the streaming service. For Season 2, the series will drop the first three episodes on Sept. 4, and then release the remaining episodes weekly.
In Season 1, The Boys functioned to take down superheroes abusing their powers, including the Seven Vought International set of superheroes: Homelander, Queen Mauve, A-Train, The Deep, Black Noir and Starlight.
Amazon prime’s The Boys stars Karl Urban as Billy Butcher, Jack Quaid as Hughie, Laz Alonso as Mother’s Milk, Tomer Kapon as Frenchie, Karen Fukuhara as the Female, Erin Moriarty as Annie January, Chace Crawford as the Deep, Antony Starr as Homelander and Simon Pegg as Hughie’s daddy. The first three episodes of Season 2 will arrive at Amazon Prime on Friday.
