Jumanji 4 Release date, Cast, Trailer and everything we know

Jumanji 4

Jumanji: The following Level is firmly set up for a sequel using its credits scene.

And that would be Jumanji 4, awarded its continuity with the original Jumanji. Still, you’d be forgiven for thinking about it because the third of this contemporary era (as filmmaker Jake Kasdan himself calls it).

Here’s what we know so far about Jumanji 4, or 3, based on how you are counting.

Jumanji 4 Release Date:

Welcome to the Jungle, and The Next Level both received December releases two years apart (December 20, 2017, and December 13, 2019, respectively).

It would not be a stretch to assume that a fourth Jumanji would target to get a December 2021 release.

The film is as of April 2020 though at the very early stages of development. “We’re just beginning to talk about all of that, and the truth is we’ve barely started [on the film],” Kasdan clarified.

“We’re just getting into the dialogue before this global calamity, and we will re-engage it when everybody’s settled. Most of us love working together, and we have loved making these.”

So December 2021 may be too ambitious for a release until it is confirmed 23, but we’ll hope for the best.

Jumanji 4 Cast:

A big part of the success of their new films was Dwayne Johnson, Karen Gillan, Kevin Hart and Jack Black, so we’d be astounded if they were not back because of their in-game Jumanji characters.

The end of The Next Level (more about that in a little ) implies that they may not play as large of a role, but it is hard to picture a sequel.

They’ll be joined by Alex Wolff, Madison Iseman, Ser’Darius Blain and Morgan Turner since the unlucky players, plus Danny DeVito could combine them as Spencer’s (Wolff) grandfather Eddie.

Danny Glover could also return as Eddie’s buddy Milo, but at the end of The Second Grade, he chooses to stay in the game as Cyclone the horse. Other returns comprise Nick Jonas and Awkwafina as the other Jumanji avatars Jefferson’Seaplane’ as Colin Hanks as Alex Vreeke, respectively, and Ming and McDonough Fleetfoot.

Could we also see Bebe Neuwirth again? She reprised her role in the original movie for a fun scene at the end of The second Level, so we hope she’s back for one more game.

Jumanji 4 Storyline:

Thus, going back into the ending of The following Level, the sequel ends with all the Jumanji game universe coming to the real world as it did in the first 1995 movie.

That means it is likely that a follow-up will probably see Spencer and co-workers attempting to solve it. We envision the solution will lie in them moving back in the Jumanji game world to permit the return of Dr Smolder Bravestone and other explorers.

That is pure speculation right now, however, and director Jake Kasdan told that he hasn’t planned out a follow-up nonetheless.

“Not much beyond that which you can see there [in the credits scene],” he explained when asked when he has the sequel plotted out. “You know, there’s hope that if that one is obtained in this way, that we’re having that conversation.”

Jumanji 4 Trailer:

Since the movie has not even begun filming, it’ll be a while yet naturally.

If a December 2021 release date guess is correct, we could anticipate the initial trailer in July 2021 since the first trailer for The Next Level arrived on July 1, 2019.
