As there is the fourth film in evolution, the Matrix trilogy is just a trilogy. Chad Stahelski, filmmaker and stuntman who worked together with Matrix’s manager duo the Wachowskis, confirmed as much back in May 2019.
Stahelski, famous for the John Wick franchise, told Yahoo Movies UK, “I’m super happy that the Wachowskis are not doing a Matrix, but they’re expanding what we loved. And if it is anywhere near the level of what they’ve already done, it would not take more than a phone to go, ‘Hey, we want you to be a stunt guy,’ and I’d likely go and get hit by a vehicle.”
The first Matrix movie has been famous for the performances, visual effects, story, and action scenes and is reportedly one of the best movies. The sequel, The Matrix Reloaded, was received well, but critics didn’t please. However, all of these were successful.
Here is what we know about the Matrix movie so far.
Both Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss will make a comeback as Neo and Trinity, respectively. Jada Pinkett Smith is going to be back as Niobe too. Priyanka Chopra is reported to be from the throw. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jessica Henwick, Neil Patrick Harris, and Jonathan Groff are enjoying functions. Fans of the franchise will be happy to know that Laurence Fishburne may reprise his role. Regrettably, Hugo Weaving will not be part of Matrix 4.
It was halted as a result of coronavirus outbreak, although the movie had begun production in San Francisco on February 4, 2020. A number of the key actors had restarted filming in the last week of June.
The Matrix 4 was initially set for a launch on May 21, 2021. However, due to the pandemic, the manufacturers announced that the fourth film of the franchise would release on April 1, 2022.
