Apple iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro versions may have made several fans excited using the new design, better cameras, displays and everything else. The purchase price may have also affected some Android consumers to proceed to Apple ecosystem. But among the biggest disappointments they might have obtained is your company’s measure to remove the charger and earpods from the retail box. Yes, that is right. It is not just the new iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro versions that won’t come with chargers and earpods in the but all the elderly iPhones as well going forward.
Why has Apple done this? It is because the company is pushing to reduce carbon emission and enhance the environment. It’s promised that by 2030 the entire firm is going to be 100% carbon monoxide free likely. So, by eliminating attachments, Apple says it can cut iPhone packaging by 70 per cent and ship more extended inventory at precisely the same moment.
To be able to play nicely with the environment, the firm states the new iPhones use recycled materials. Ninety-nine per cent of it is recycled tungsten, and 98% are rare earth components while 35% are plastic and several other components. In terms of the magnets within the iPhone 12 versions, they are made of 100% recycled rare earth components.
Apart from the iPhone 12 series, other handsets that will come without a charger and earpods in the future include iPhone SE, iPhone XR, and iPhone 11.
But, there will still be one attachment that will come within the box Lightning to USB Type-C connector cable. It works with almost any standard USB Type-C adapter. “These modifications will cut over 2 million metric tons of carbon emissions each year, equivalent to eliminating nearly 450,000 cars from the road per year,” Apple said in the release.
During the event, the firm said that there are some 2 billion Apple chargers on earth and over 700 million EarPods out there already.
So, if you’re a first time iPhone buyer, then get ready to pay extra to your charger and earpods/AirPods.
