Owaisi lashed out at BJP
AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi Tanz has also tightened up the veteran BJP leaders for the Hyderabad civic elections. Owaisi had said that this election has happened to the Prime Minister and not to the Hyderabad body. He said that BJP had called so many leaders in this election, now only Donald Trump has left. Even if we come, nothing will happen. Because even with his hand, PM Modi said that this time the trump government but he also did not survive and fell into the pit.
Why Hyderabad is important
The Hyderabad civic election has, at the moment, become the centre of national politics. There are eyes on this across the country. The Greater Hyderabad, Municipal Corporation election, is also considered to be the litmus test of the 2023 Telangana assembly election. So, BJP is looking at this election as an opportunity to establish its presence in Hyderabad and increase political base in Telangana.
Please tell that the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation is one of the largest municipal corporations in the country. This municipal corporation covers four districts, which include Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Medchal-Malkajgiri and Sangareddy. This entire area consists of 24 assembly constituencies, and Telangana has 5 Lok Sabha seats.
