Apple iPhone users have been complaining of battery drain since the update of iOS 14.2. Apple has a slightly poor track record in this case. Recently, the company has paid a penalty of nearly billions of rupees for the update.
Similarly, through an update, the company had reduced the performance of the old iPhone model a few years ago, due to which the company had to settle the case by paying about 45.4 billion rupees.
However, speaking of this new report, the update of iOS 14.2 has come recently. Since then, iPhone SE 2020 users, including iPhone 11, iPhone XS, iPhone X, iPhone XR, iPhone 7, have been complaining of battery drain.
Interestingly, users of the iPhone 12 series have not had any difference with this. Apple has been accused that the company reduces the speed of the old iPhone through updates so that people buy new iPhones. However, the company has denied it.
iPhone users on the Apple Developer Forum and Reddit are getting faster battery discharge after the new update. Here some users have said that the battery is draining up to 50% in less than 30 minutes after the update.
According to the report, even in normal use, the battery is going down fast. One user said on Reddit that they updated iOS 14.2 to iPhone 11 and after that, the battery is running out fast, and the phone is not even 12 months old.
The user has also said that they did not like this update of iOS and they will move towards an Android. Similarly, in Apple’s developer forum, a user has said that the battery was backing up properly before the update, but after the update, the battery backup was reduced.
Until the time of writing, Apple’s statement has not come on the complaints of battery drain regarding iOS 14.2. We will update you as soon as the company issues the statement.
There are many users on micro-blogging website Twitter who have asked people not to update to iOS 14. The battery is getting 90 to 3 per cent in just one hour.
